WWE Smackdown 2/26/21 Review

Smackdown starting off with the head of the table, Roman Reigns w/ Paul Heyman and his cousin Jey Uso.  Roman delivers another promo talking about Elimination Chamber and also addressing Edge. Daniel Bryan interrupts and basically lays down another challenge for Roman at Fastlane with the title on the line this time around, unlike six years ago when these two last fought. Jey Uso basically seals the deal, essentially making a "number one contender" match for Daniel. If Bryan wins, he gets his match against Roman for the title.   This was a cool way to start the show. Leading into a tag match between Rey and his son vs. Chad Gable and Otis. This match was ok. It's kind of bathroom break type of match, but it wasn't that boring. I stayed awake long enough to get past it. Hopefully this feud doesn't last long. Apollo Crews vs. Shinsuke Nakamura. Apollo cuts his first heel promo before the match begins and it was pretty good. He's got a way to go, but not

What a way to start the evening with Drew McIntyre vs Goldberg. I honestly was glad to see this match go on first so we can get the finish of this one over and done. There was a few times in the match when I thought Goldberg was going to kill Drew's momentum and win the match but Drew turned it around and won this match after a second Claymore to the head of Goldberg for the win, thankfully. This match was ok, nothing spectacular from these two men regarding the circumstances. Just a match of finishing moves until one actually won the match. Sasha Banks vs Carmella. The finish of this one was the right call with Sasha slapping on the Banks Statement for the tap out win. This match was solid from start to finish and I don't see anything wrong or how they conducted themselves during this match. Both women did a hell of job.  The Women's Rumble match ended just like I wanted it and as I'm sure how everybody else wanted it to end too with Bianca Belair winning her first R

Well this Smackdown was not Smackdown by any means. It all started with AJ Styles making his way to the ring to interrupt Daniel Bryan, which led to a one on one match, which honestly didn't need to happen if we were going to get like 3 or 4 matches restarted no reason at all. If they would have just went with a regular match that was about at least 30 minutes, then Smackdown would not have been Raw for the last 45 minutes or so.   Fortunately Smackdown this week was not all bad. We had a great one on one match between Bianca Belair and Bayley. Great back and forth match, but Bayley was getting most of the offense in on Bianca. The EST of WWE ended up finally winning a match over one of the most decorated WWE superstars in the company. If Vince would ended up switching the finish to this match and have Bayley win again, It would have not made any sense to have brought up Bianca to the main roster if she was just going to keep losing every week on Smackdown, but thankfully she got

Smackdown this week was pretty good as usual. Starting off pretty strong with Jey Uso vs Shinsuke match. This match was really good from the jump. Jey Uso is really, really starting to come into his own as a singles competitor. It will be really hard for Jimmy to try and top his twin brother when he comes back because Jey is on a roll, despite the loss to Shinsuke. I believe Nakamura should be the contender for Roman, but that's another story for another time. Bayley and her first show was ok. It survived in my opinion only because the Est Bianca was the first guest. Looking forward to the obstacle course next for those two. Cesaro vs Bryan. As I said on my twitter account, these two always put on classics and last night was no exception. It's always very VERY physical with these guys, and I wouldn't like it any other way. I'm glad Cesaro finally came back to tv tho.  This Corbin/Mysterio rivalry, I honestly could care less for, but hey if Rey Mysterio's son ends u

New Year. First 2021 Smackdown Post! 01/08/2021

Starting off Smackdown with the head of the table, Roman Reigns cuts a lowkey scathing promo and towards the end of his promo, he called out WWE official Adam Pierce. Cutting right to the point, after asking multiple times if anyone was stupid, I thought Roman was really about to take Adam's head off, I would have loved that, but thanks to Paul Heyman that didn't happen. Anything with Roman these days, especially kicking off Smackdown this week..is GOLD!   First match of the night, Big E v Apollo Crews. Great match all the way thru, then some unexpected lowkey controversy happened when at first the match was a draw after Apollo gave Big E a superplex, causing both guys shoulders to be counted down for the three count. Fortunately the match continued, as we all probably thought it would, after Apollo provoked E with a slap to restart the match. Following that, this match was still pretty good. Hats off to both gentlemen.  Next Match, Street Profits v Ziggler and Roode. Pretty

WWE TLC 2020 Results Review

HOLY WOW TLC TLC TLC. First of all. Great show tonight. Surprisingly the first match was the WWE Championship was on first. It was a pretty good back and forth bout. Adding the Miz to the equation I think was a bit soon. I think they could have him cash it in a little later than tonight. It would have made for a better cash-in and I think would have made the Miz look a little more stronger as a main eventer. With that said, I still kind of figured that Drew wasn't gonna lose tonight, but I like that there was a few close calls, thinking that he AJ was actually gonna win or the Miz, who by the way took too long getting up the ladder..leading to Drew retaining the title as expected. Sasha Banks and Carmella put on a fantastic match as well. I was worried that the match itself wasn't gonna be as good, but once again, there was someone there ringside, looking to make Carmella win, which added a close call for Sasha. At one point I thought she was gonna tap to Carmella, but glad
