WWE Smackdown 2/26/21 Review

Smackdown starting off with the head of the table, Roman Reigns w/ Paul Heyman and his cousin Jey Uso.  Roman delivers another promo talking about Elimination Chamber and also addressing Edge. Daniel Bryan interrupts and basically lays down another challenge for Roman at Fastlane with the title on the line this time around, unlike six years ago when these two last fought. Jey Uso basically seals the deal, essentially making a "number one contender" match for Daniel. If Bryan wins, he gets his match against Roman for the title.   This was a cool way to start the show.

Leading into a tag match between Rey and his son vs. Chad Gable and Otis. This match was ok. It's kind of bathroom break type of match, but it wasn't that boring. I stayed awake long enough to get past it. Hopefully this feud doesn't last long.

Apollo Crews vs. Shinsuke Nakamura. Apollo cuts his first heel promo before the match begins and it was pretty good. He's got a way to go, but not that long. This was pretty decent match all around. Great back and forth action, with Apollo picking up an impressive win over Nakamura. The sky is the limit for this young man. Hope WWE uses him the right way to solidify his heel turn.

We have Liv Morgan vs Tamina. Needless to say this match was short and sweet. Not too boring, but I guess the timeslot has to be filled, right? Liv Morgan deserves better..I'll just leave it at that.

Bianca Belair makes her decision about who she will face at Mania for the title. As if we didn't know already who she was going to choose, She chooses to fight Sasha Banks thankfully at WrestleMania. This is the match that we all wanted and needed to see anyways and I'm glad that it's finally happening.

Street Profits vs Corbin and Sami.  I wouldn't really say that this match is a bathroom break type of match, but it can sort of make a case of match of the night. That's not saying alot..but only  until Daniel vs Jey Uso happens. The Street Profits pick up the win after a distraction of Sami's camera men towards Corbin, leaving Sami all to the Profits for the win.

Just give The Profits their rematch for the titles. That's what I say.

Seth Rollins graces us with his presence. He starts to cut a promo, but Cesaro interrupts him. Seth cuts a criticizing promo against him, then Cesaro puts him down with the swing and an uppercut, leaving him laying in the ring. The way Seth sold that swing was hilarious. Is there anything that  Seth and Roman can't do.

Speaking of Roman, his possible Fastlane opponent Daniel Bryan faces Jey Uso. Despite the ending, Both superstars put on a hell of a match. Easily, The Real Match of The Night. Daniel and Jey made each other look really really good. This match tho, ended in a double countout, which does not allow Daniel to get his rematch at Roman. Jey continues an attack on Bryan until Roman comes out and completes the attack with a jarring spear to Bryan, then hoisting his title over his head to end the show.

Not a great ending to the show, considering how it was done, but still was a much better ending than what Raw had to put up earlier this week. I enjoyed it as I always do.

Until Next Week....
